Section 1 - Background and Purpose

(1) To ensure compliance with Standard 15 of the National Code 2007.

(2) To ensure compliance with Standard 19.1(d) of the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) 2015.

Section 2 - Scope

(3) This Policy applies to:

1. All campuses
2. All CRICOS registered higher education, non-award and ELICOS awards 
3. All members of the University community who engage with overseas students or manage the services provided to overseas students
4. All Vocational Education and Training (VET) awards
5. All members of the University community who engage with VET students or manage the services provided to VET students.

Section 3 - Policy Statement

(4) The University will proactively inform the appropriate designated authorities of prospective changes to its ownership and/or management. In so doing, it will comply with any specific requirements prescribed by those authorities. 

Section 4 - Procedures

(5) For purposes of compliance with the National Code, changes of ownership or management are documented through the Pro Vice-Chancellor (International) - to the designated authority.

(6) For purposes of compliance with the Standards for NVR Registered Training Organisations, changes of ownership or management are documented through the Chief Executive Officer of the RTO to the designated authority.

Section 5 - Definitions

(7) For the purpose of this Policy:

1. National Code 2007: National Code of Practice for Registration Authorities and Providers of Education and Training to Overseas Students 2007
2. NVR: National VET Regulator
